Glam It Up Monday!

Its Monday again people! For some of us, it is a wonderful start to the week because its BANK HOLIDAY! So no work and the weather is fine! Over here in Norway we have been having a busy weekend. Lene is still having technical issues and her internet connection is a little sketchy, so she is a little bit cut off from myself and Nadine at the moment, but we hope she is back fast because it is lonely in our group chat with no talks of nails and the woes of editing videos. Anyway, down to business! My hair is no longer flaming red. The dye is beginning to wash out and fade so it is more of a vibrant orange plus my roots are coming dark and strong. I need to get myself to a hair salon and make it wedding ready! Because my hair is still so bright, I have been easing off on the makeup. I don’t mind standing out but I feel like my hair plus bold makeup is a little too much for buy bread and walking the dog in the small farming community where I live. Photo 20.05.15, 15.16.48 Here I am in my super comfy reclining chair feeding the baby and snapping selfies. Multitasking isn’t a skill, its a way of life when you have 2 kids, a business and a blog to upkeep. Here I am wearing a super cute shirt dress which I picked up in the Nelly Summer Sale. Patterns are not normally something I go for but I really liked this one so I couldn’t resist. You might also notice that I am not wearing any lipstick. There is a very good reason, my new Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks arrived on Saturday and I’m getting ready for a lip art binge. I can’t wait to get “I’m Nude” and “Anna Nicole” on my face. Foundation wise I am wearing MAC Studio Fix in “NC15″ as a base and then Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation in “115” to highlight. Contouring and blush is handled by the Isa Dora Face Sculptor Palette in shade “01 Warm Peach”. I know I promised to review this about 4 weeks ago when I first mentioned it, but I have a tonne of other fun things to get out on the blog first. For now the Face Sculptor Palette has taken up residence in my everyday makeup bag and I am loving it. My brows are lazy today, I reverted to my old 17 pencil in “brown” and did nothing more to them. Photo 20.05.15, 15.19.43   On my eyes I am wearing MAC Prep & Prime and Number 3 and 6 from the Sonia Kashuk Eye On Neutral Palette. Mascara is Max Factor False Effect, then I finished with a quick spray of MAC Fix+. So quite a bare face. No lipstick (yet) but look! Lene would be so proud of me, I finally did my nails! Since the collaboration gel polish review I have been wearing only OPI Nail Envy and Clear Top Coats on my nails trying to make them strong and tough again. They are finally ready to be fabulous again. On my nails I used Maybelline Color Show in “Dressed To Kill” and “Bronze Me Up” along with some bronze nail art studs I picked up from Born Pretty Store, then finished with a top coat of Seche Vite. Photo 20.05.15, 15.16.17Now I darkened the brightness on this picture a little so you could see the amazing highlight shimmer I have going on. I have just finished swatching and photographing the brand new range of Galaxy Glow Illuminators from Life’s Entropy, and oh my they are spectacular! A full review of the Illuminators is coming up this week and I have the ENTIRE lip range to share as well. You might remember I was asked to be a Beauty Superstar on Cutout & Keep, well they have me back this week as a Buffy The Vampire Slayer expert, so head over to check out how to recreate Buffy’s style. So that is pretty much everything I have to tell you on this fine Holiday Monday. Remember to check back for swatches and reviews from myself, for nail art and tutorials from Lene and for makeup tutorials from Nadine, or subscribe to our mailing list and have all of our posts delivered directly to your inbox!

IMG_5831Hi girls! So as Sian has mentioned, my internet connection is pretty dodgy at the moment, I might seem calm on the outside, but inside I´m boiling! haha! But thanks to some great neighbours and a 100 meter of cable stretching from our kitchen window, through the garden and in to the middle of their house, we have a link set up and I´m online again until my landlord has fixed the connection. Why do these things always happen on the holidays and weekends? For my look today I´m keeping it calm and nude with grey, bronze and white and on my lips I´m only wearing Dior Lip Glow. Usually I wear a bright lipstick and draw on my lips with a liner to make them look bigger and also I do countouring, so this is rare. For my eyes I did a grey outline and filled in with a bronze on the eyelid. I used white in the corner of my eyes to brighten up the eyes and to tone them down. And as always I used my Isadora Flex tip eyeliner to line the eyes, I just love this eyeliner! For my brows I took the easy lazy way and used Maybeline Satin Brow, also a favorite, it has a pen to draw on the brows and a sponge in the other end to blend, genious! IMG_5829My hair today is a low ponytail with a twist. I seperated the front and back of my hair before I backcombed my crown and pinned it up. Then I took a part of the hair from the front, brought it back, made a loop around the hair in the back and pinned it to the hair in the neck. I repeated this for a total of four times. And then, lots and lots of hairspray! IMG_5830My hopes for this last week of may is that my internet will stabalize, I have a ton of laundry to fold and I won´t do it until I can stream my series, I´m not folding anything without entertainment! And now you might be thinking that I could always bring the clothes with me in to the living room and do them in fron of the television, but my husband won´t allow it, since the folded clothes have a tendensy to stay in there…yes…laundry is my cryptonite! See you on saturday, and I hope my connection is good enough to upload my videos.

Hi guDSC05195ys! So today i went for something super easy since i’m only staying at home in this rainy weather! I usually always have to use falsies and some smokey eye look with some fancy stuff, but today i wanted to keep my eyes just a little bright. To do that i just used Mac Always Sunny and blended over my whole lid and up towards my brows, then i took a light shimmery color from the Naked 2 palette to brighten everything a little. On my lips i first went over with this really dark red color, but i felt like it were way to much, so i just used a tissue and wiped a little off. Then i were left with this soft really natural looking lip color! I loved how the finishing result ended, and its nice to glam up a little even tho its here in Norway a day where we dont go to work. I love getting a little glammed up to feel fresh! DSC05203 My boyfriend always ask me why i have to use makeup all the time, because to him it doesn’t matter if I use or not, he like me the way i am. Well i’m not glamming up for him! I do it for myself and if using makeup make me feel pretty and gorgeous, well then i’m going to use it as much as i want to! So i hope everyone is having a great start to the week! I’ll se you on Friday with a new tutorial! This time i’m even going to speak english!
